On 26th May, we'll be having a seminar on "Empowering Loving Parents". On this day, we went churches to promote our event. It was a whole day event for some of us, some left early during lunch time. From as early as 7a.m, we left Senadin to the 1st church (Mater Dei catholic church). We joined them for Sunday Mass and this is my first time going to a catholic church and it was really different from the churches i went before. Didn't take any photo of us promoting in Mater Dei due to 'I want to sleep!!!" mood, waking up so early was really a turn off for me.
Whenever i go to church, i have this feeling that will move my heart a little, whenever the sing in a huge group, i like how it is.
Continue working after lunch at St. Joseph, everyone was really tired and some of the committee members had to go home because they have something to do / did not sleep the day before. Left few of us but we still continue to promote.. End of the day, we got another 4 participants and we had created awareness to people.
2 small tables for us to promote our event, while waiting for the mass to end. Even before it starts, we go all around the church, targeting those parents.
Promoting this early was a turn off until i saw a few cute kids that kept following us. Especially this little girl, she was posing behind the pole all the time <3 kids are just so cute when they smile =)
This kid is... 1 smart kid. He roughly knows how to play with my DSLR, spamming shots like crazy (i had to delete all photos later on x_X). This kid is tech savvy, even knows how to play with iPad, all the games we dunno how to press, he knows... We tried to stop him from playing when his mom calls, we shut down the whole thing and said "No more battery"... Smart enough, he on it back again saying got battery!
Wind was real strong, our banting kept falling till we got fed up!
Our committee along with marketing club that collaborated with us to promote. All in red =)
Evening, while waiting for St. Joseph's 5p.m Mass, we went to have our tea break. Miri Taiwanese Noodle house. I called for the beef noodle (RM8), and my god! This was actually good! Maybe because been few months i have not eaten any nice food. This makes me crave for Malacca's beef noodle...darn. This restaurant's food is not bad but the price is really expensive, higher compared to KL.
We complain a lot, saying that we are working so crazily, from 7a.m-7p.m, we somehow think its pointless. At the end, we achieve what we wanted though not good enough, but there is achievement. If we give up in the middle, we will never get these few participants.
